Recap: Get your bag and get in the car now! I will not be held up a second longer!” Ah Alice, sweet Alice .

“Edward, aren’t these dress robes cute? Or do they make me look, well you know, odd?” Alice was staring at herself in the mirror at Madam Malkins trying on millions of different robes. There were pink ones, blue ones, silk ones, sparkly ones, they even had camouflage robes.

“Uh, Alice? Why don’t you ask Jasper? Your husband. Or try to ‘see’ what others think of you in it?” Honestly, why would she ask me?

“Because if I ask Jasper, he would lie to me. He would say I did look cute even when I looked like a troll. And the future is not set in stone. How many times do I have to tell you that?”

She wants me to tell her how she looks? Fine. “Alice, you look beautiful. All the other girls are going to be jealous when you wear that.” You learn something from living with Alice and Rosalie for decades. Always tell them that they look amazing, even when they look horrible. But you can’t make it too obvious you are lying though, or they will pound you.

“Beautiful huh? You liar, I can see it in your eyes. I guess I am going to have to take my dress robes from last year.” She leaned in toward me to add in a whisper, “Speak in a British accent. We want to fit it. No one needs to know that we are from America. Especially none of the Slytherins.”

“Fine fine,” I replied in a practiced accent. “Let’s go find Jasper and then go to Flourish and Blotts to get our books.”

“You party pooper, all I wanted to do was to do some fun shopping before we were shipped off to Hogwarts. You just have to ruin all fun, don’t you?”

“Alice, you know that’s purely what I exist for. Just to ruin all your fun, cause it all is about you.”

“Well… Well… Mneh!!!!!!!” With that Alice stuck her tongue out and skipped away. Since she wasn’t watching where she was going, Alice bumped into a tall, white-blonde haired man carrying a cane with a serpent’s head on top. He spun on his heel and glared at her but then changed his facial expression from one of hate to one of pleasure. What could be going through his mind? Well I am just going to see.

‘Fillet of a fenny snake,

In the cauldron boil and bake.

Eye of newt and toe of frog,

Wool of bat and tongue of dog,

Adder’s fork and blindworm’s sting,

Lizard’s leg and howlet’s wing,

For a charm of pow’rful trouble,

Like a Hell broth boil and bubble.’

Was he reciting lines from Shakespeare’s Macbeth? I looked up and he was grinning wickedly at me. So he knew I could read his mind and was blocking me with lines. The man looked back to her and started speaking in a low voice. So low, that I had to read Alice’s mind to see what the two of them were talking about.

‘I would suggest that you don’t bump into people. You will regret it later. Have I seen you before?’ That man with the white-blonde hair was looking questioningly at Alice.

‘No sir. I have never seen you before.” Alice was shaking her head and stepping back slowly, just like any normal human would do. ‘Edward help! He is really starting to creep me out.’ I gave her a look that said ‘No way!and stood by to watch. It was her fault.

‘Well, I thought I had. My name is Lucious Malfoy by the way. My son goes to Hogwarts like you. Maybe you have seen him. His name is Draco Malfoy.’ Maybe it was time for me to intercede.

“Excuse me, but my sister and I need to get going. We are meeting someone somewhere.Have a nice day sir.” Pulling Alice along behind me, we stepped into Flourish and Blotts to buy our books. While purchasing them, the man who Alice was speaking to earlier, was staring at us. Eventually out on the street, Jasper joined us and we walked back to The Leaky Cauldron. Just as we were on the door step, a smell hit me. It was a smell unlike any other. Her smell. But what could she be doing in Diagon Alley?

“Edward? Are you listening Edward?” I snapped back to reality to find Jasper looking questioningly at me.

“Uh, yeah, what were you saying?”

“We will have to hunt tonight. Tomorrow we will board the Hogwarts Express and won’t be able to hunt for a few weeks.”

“Right. Let’s go then.”

Bella’s P.O.V.

Was that who I thought it was? No, it couldn’t have been. I finally finish my book and I have gone loopy. Sheesh, I am turning into Lockhart. Dang it! That’s the last thing I ever wanted to do. Okay, maybe it wasn’t just because I was coming back from the muggle world. Maybe it was the thing I didn’t want to think about.

I never imagined that anything like this would happen. I was accepted to Hogwarts when I was eleven. I then stayed until the middle of my seventh year. I then moved to America to stay with a man named Charlie who happened to be my uncle and was in on my little charade. Instead of attending Hogwarts, I was supposed to write a guide for living with muggles. I spent my eighth, ninth, and tenth year writing that. I went back to England to live with my adopted family named the Weasleys. I mostly hung out with my brothers who dropped out the year I left. They said that they were planning to go back in their twelfth and final year. Fred and George were my best friends. Now, I was back. Now, I am 22 and have almost graduated Hogwarts, not to mention I have a national bestseller.

But, I swear that was him going into The Leaky Cauldron. I have to go straight to the Burrow and pack for tomorrow. ‘No more thinking about him, Bella.’ I told myself.

Edward’s P.O.V.

“Edward! Come on! We have to get a seat before they are all filled up. Let’s go in this one. There are only three people in this one. It really is our only choice thanks to you. You just had to forget your robes at The Leaky Cauldron. You stupid blue idiot!” Alice was her usual peppy self this morning. Nothing I could see, could change that.

“Edward, she is right.” Jasper added.

In response I turned around and slid the door open. The scent of her was so strong in this car. I looked toward the people and to my surprise I saw…
