Brooklynd Paige

Brooklynd Paige (aka- Misty) is a die hard Twilight Saga Fan. She can leap tall buildings in single bound, scare werewolves with a single glance, look through solid walls, fly through the air, and last but not least....live vicariously through the characters created by Stephenie Meyer. (ALL OF THIS ONLY OCCURS IN HER OWN SPECIAL LITTLE WORLD.) Truthfully, I graduated from college in the spring of 2004 with a Bachelor of Music Education Degree with emphasis in both Instrumental Music Education and Vocal Music Education. I currently reside in the great state of Oklahoma (in the MIDDLE of NOWHERE), where I teach all forms of music (BAND, CHOIR, HUMANITIES, AND GENERAL MUSIC) to PK-12th graders and I sponsor the Junior High and High School cheerleading squads. The school I work for is extremely small, we only have like 85 students EC-12th Grade. In essence I am the total Music/Band/Choir nerd! I LOVE reading- EVERYTHING I can get my hands on (Twilight Saga especially!) I am also currently reading the Vampire Diaries by L.J. Smith and the House of Night series by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast. I am continuing to read The Host by the GREAT Stephenie Meyer as well! Writing/Playing/listening to- music. I teach music in my everyday world, so I listen to quite a bit of it too. My favorite performers are Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Garth Brooks, Eminem, Tokio Hotel, Reba McEntire, New Kids on the Block. I also love playing music. I have played the clarinet for over 18 years. I can also play the flute, saxophone (alto, tenor and baritone), trumpet, French Horn, tuba, trombone, baritone and a few other instruments. I love to perform. In 2003 I performed in NYC with the National Women’s Honor Choir. I have also worked/performed for Texas Musical Drama, which is set in Palo Duro Canyon in the great state of Texas. I have also performed in quite a few musicals. I believe that my background in performance helps me with my writing. Writing- Short stories, lyrics and fan fiction (Stephenie Meyer is AWESOME- She's came up with an AWESOME SERIES OF STORIES!) Watching movies-I love, love, LOVE horror movies. Some of my favorite movies on the planet are…Gone with the Wind, Interview with a Vampire, The Covenant… Anything short of martial arts movies! Here lately I've been interested in writing Songfics... it's consuming all of my time at the moment. I think it’s the instant gratification that I enjoy the most with this type of writing. Plus I get to combine two of my favorite things- Music and TWILIGHT! Unfortunately:'( with school starting it will take me longer to get stories written...due to the fact that I am NEVER home! This is also due to softball games, football games, cheerleading practices, Senior sponsor duties, music duties and exchange student obligations. It's been a while since I've been able to really sit down and give my stories the time they need. PLEASE don't give up on me! Softball ends next week and I'll have a little more time to write. I promise. I've got a start on the next chapters of the 3 chaptered stories I'm writing.
